  • Our Mission:  To Provide Art Classes for  Underpriviledged Youth
  • Our Goal To improve lives, one child at a time

Founded in 2001, by Diedre Burke, Mary Stewart and Robin Bolls,
Artists of America (AOA) is an IRS recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, based in Los Angeles.

  • Artists of America began as a direct response to shrinking school budgets which eliminated classes in the visual, performing and literary arts...and yes, even Reading!

We provide (at no cost to the students or the schools):

·        The teachers and the art supplies for local schools.  We have programs for K-6th Graders, called Art at Your Fingertips; programs for 7th-12th graders: more in depth classes in the arts: cartooning, drawing, painting, creative writing, performing.

·        AOA has a “learn to read program“ designed for children up to 3rd grade to help them read better.  Literacy is an important part of a child’s art education. The Key to a Good Life is a love of reading.  It opens doors that no one can close.

Now Artists of America has started a new program:

·        The Cultural Experience for Inner City Students

On the following pages you will find more information about each of the arts programs we offer, and how YOU can help these children!
