Art Education:  Classes in the Literary, Visual and Performing Arts

  • Artists of America provides the teachers and the art supplies, at no charge to the students or the schools for the following programs:

  • Art at Your Fingertips, designed to teach young children K-6 through painting, drawing, sculpting the concepts of spacial relationships, follow through, a non judgmental atmosphere, and the joy of creating.

  • In Depth Art Classes:  painting, drawing, cartooning, comedy, creative writing.  These classes are designed to catch the interest and the attention of inquiring minds.  Designed for 7th-12 graders, the classes teach the children how to focus, how to finish what they start, how to problem solve, and what they can create with their minds.

Learning to read changes lives!

  • Artists of America has a “Learn to Read program“ designed for children Pre-school  to 3rd grade to help them read better.

  •  Literacy is an important part of a child’s art education.

  • The Key to a Good Life is a love of reading.
  • Help us open doors that no one can close.

The Cultural Experience for Inner City Students

  • It is our aim in the Cultural Experience Program to introduce these high-risk students to the finer (cultural) side of life.

  • Attending the best events our city has to offer gives the students a chance to see the kind of life they can live if they STAY IN SCHOOL, AIM HIGH, AND MAKE GOOD LIFE CHOICES.

  • We believe that giving these students the opportunity to see and hear in person the finest role models our country has produced, (like the Dorothy Chandler Speakers Series, the Music Center, the Los Angeles Opera, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, live theatre performances, sampling dining at fine restaurants, etc.) will give them a life changing experience.

  • Their participation first hand opens their eyes and their minds to their possible futures.
